Harold Maurel

From a very young age, Harold developed a particular interest in the creative world. He first went to the École Supérieure d’Arts Appliqués in Lyon to complete a preparatory class in art. He then went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design before finishing his studies at the National School of Architecture in Lyon. After starting his professional career in France, he left five years later to settle in Montreal where he developed his skills in 3D modeling. In 2020, he joined the firm Blouin Tardif Architects as an architectural designer and 3D artist where he develops the 3D scenes of several projects. His goal is to contribute to the development of new tools for the firm such as virtual tours in computer generated images to improve the client experience and the appreciation of the team’s work.

“I particularly enjoyed collaborating on the multi-residential project on Saint-Denis Street in Montreal, for its contemporary approach in the heart of a heritage neighborhood of Montreal; the Plateau Mont-Royal. The classical reinterpretation of the early twentieth century buildings enters in symbiosis with a modern and luminous extension. The dynamism of the volumes is subtly distinguished in its environment. In my opinion, the insertion of this type of project promotes the architectural diversity of Montreal.”
